Dar es Salaam Tumaini University (DarTU) is the outcome of the transformation of Tumaini University Dar es Salaam College (TUDARCo) into a fully-fledged University in January 2024. The latter was established in 2003. It formerly operated as the Waldorf College Tanzania from 1997. The Waldorf College Tanzania (WCT) was established by the Wildorf College, Iowa Forest Hill of the United States of America. In 2001, the Waldorf College Council decided to close her operations in Tanzania and the College was handed over to the Eastern and Coastal Diocese of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania (ECD-ELCT). The Waldorf College Tanzania then joined the Tumaini University family and changed its name to Tumaini University Dar es Salaam College (TUDARCo). Thus, TUDARCo was born from WCT on 1st April 2003 as a constituent College of Tumaini University, joining Makumira, KCMUCo and Iringa University College, which existed during that time. The mission is To deliver and promote competitive demand-driven and market-responsive teaching and learning, research, public service and outreach through the guidance and obedience in the word of God, fully leveraging on social innovation and entrepreneurship for sustainable national socio-economic development.

Daqing Oilfield Construction Group Co., Ltd (hereinafter as DOCG), is the main CONTRACTOR for Storage Terminal of EACOP Project,(MST). DOCG invites experienced and reputable candidates to apply for various employment opportunities which will be at Tanga region in the Chongoleani ward. The East African Crude Oil Pipeline Company (EACOP) Ltd, applied for a construction license. A construction license will enable the company to kickstart the development of the 1,443km, 24-inch diameter heated and buried crude oil pipeline that will start from Kabaale, Hoima in Uganda to Chongoleani, Tanga in Tanzania. It will be the longest heat traced pipeline in the world. Following the Final Investment Decision (FID) ceremony on the 1st of February 2022, East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) Ltd has formally concluded the formation of the company that will construct the 1,443km, East African Crude Oil Pipeline1 from Kabaale, Hoima District in Uganda, to the Chongoleani Peninsula near Tanga Port in Tanzania.

The needs for safe accommodation for displaced people is great. In 2019 alone, AIRD Tanzania built 279 emergency shelters, constructed and distributed 1,918 and 997 transitional shelters respectively, and 1,000 upgradeable shelters gave many displaced families a place to call home. Transporting basic Non Food Items (NFIs) further enables displaced people to restart their lives. 55,389 tons of NFIs were transported by the team in 2019. Storage of these items is possible at 2 warehouses and 19 rub halls with a capacity of 12,000 m3 in different locations in the country.
