    The Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (RUWASA) was established under the Water  Supply and Sanitation Act No. 5 of 2019 to coordinate all efforts related to provision of Sustainable Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Services in rural areas in Tanzania mainland, so as to contribute to a sustainable socio-economic development. The Agency is mandated to plan, develop, maintain and manage provision of reliable water supply and sanitation services. The Water Supply and Sanitation Act No.5 of 2019  has also transferred accountability of officers responsible for water service provisions from PO RALG, RSs and LGAs to the Ministry of Water. The newly established Agency (RUWASA Vacancies) has offices at Headquarters, Regional and District levels as opposed to previous structure which compose of office at LGA’s level and RSs. With its Headquarters in Dodoma, the Capital of Tanzania; and having assumed its functions on 1st July 2019 RUWASA operates in 25 regions in Tanzania mainland with the exception of Dar Es Salaam. The community based water supply organization (CBWSO) shall be established by the agreement of the majority members of the community and shall be a fully autonomous corporate body.

    TPC Limited Vacancy Situated in the Kilimanjaro region, TPC Ltd is one of Tanzania’s largest sugar estates. Of its 16,000 hectares of land, 8,000 hectares are used for sugar cane cultivation. Over the years, TPC Ltd has made significant investments in the rehabilitation and upgrading of fields, infrastructure and equipment. As a result of the sustained progress made in these areas, sugar production has increased from an annual production base of 30,000 tonnes to the present 100,000 tonnes. At the same time, considerable experience was acquired and efficiency gains were achieved in a number of areas including cane varieties, fertilization, irrigation, transport and sugar recovery. Although its operations have reached maturity and are showing positive results, TPC Ltd plans to further increase sugar production in the coming years by cultivating additional land, introducing new cane varieties, adopting more efficient irrigation and fertilisation methods and improving factory recoveries. Other potential development projects for years to come include the setting up of a distillery to improve the value added from molasses and the extension of electricity production throughout the year by burning non-cane biomass in the intercrop.
