TRA SACCOS LTD, was formed in 2006 by the Employees of Tanzania Revenue Authority who are spread throughout all the TRA offices in the country including Zanzibar and Pemba. All the employees of TRA are legible to be members. TRA SACCOS LTD is strategically positioned to mobilize savings from the members and advance loans in order to bring about socio-economic welfare of its members. Currently, The organization has a total membership of 6000. TRA SACCOS LTD through its Management Board has established management tools such as Policies and Procedures so as to ensure that member’s funds are utilized efficiently and effectively by advancing loans to its members and ensure that members are deducted their loan repayments through their Employer’s payroll hence to have less than 1% delinquency. To improve the standard of living and increase the value of members through provisional of high quality micro finance products using modern technology. To promote thrift among its members by affording them an opportunity for accumulating their savings and deposits and create thereby a source of funds from which loans can be made available to them for purposes of providence or production or both at a fair and reasonable rate of interests.
