The Tanzania Startup Association (TSA) is a not-for-profit, membership-based organization representing over 800 startup members, primarily youth-owned businesses, across Tanzania. By working collaboratively with government institutions, academia, development partners, and private-sector organizations, TSA aims to foster innovation, create jobs, and drive economic growth. Startups in Tanzania are leveraging emerging technologies to address challenges in key sectors such as healthcare, agriculture, and education while contributing significantly to the nation’s development. Building on the success of previous reports, TSA’s Tanzania Startup Ecosystem Study 2024/25 aims to provide actionable insights to inform policies, catalyze investment, and support the ecosystem’s growth on a global scale. Our Vision is a Tanzania with a conducive legal and regulatory business environment that facilitates and supports the growth and sustainability of the start-up ecosystem. We believe in Tanzania’s policies and actions with an impact-oriented approach toward Tanzania’s Startup Ecosystem. We believe in leveraging innovation that comes up with disruptive solutions and business models which create value to society at large. We believe in developing a progressive set of relations for Tanzania’s Startup Ecosystem that ensures sustainable growth and impact.
