Since entering Tanzania in 2017, Africa Healthcare Network (AHN Tanzania) has established 17 centers across the country serving patients not just in urban centers but also rural, underserved areas with traditionally low access to chronic kidney disease care and dialysis services. We have recently signed 3 new centers in Tanzania in partnership with Nanguji Memorial Hospital at Morogoro, St. Gaspar Referral Hospital at Singida, and Dareda Mission Hospital at Manyara, bringing our total number of centers in Tanzania to 20, and total centers across Africa to 40! We are very excited to deepen our mission to expand access to world class, life saving care at an affordable cost across Africa. Whereas high quality dialysis has historically only been available in big cities like Nairobi, Dar es Salaam, or Kigali, AHN brings life-sustaining care to patients including hard to reach remote areas. Majority of AHN centers are located in rural or sub-urban areas. The co founders are pioneers in the nephrology community globally, bringing top-notch, holistic renal care to Africa. AHN has developed Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) to improve care and reduce the impact of non-communicable diseases (NCDs).
