Taifa Gas Limited (TAIFA GAS) started as Mihan Gas Company Limited (MIHAN GAS). The company was incorporated in the United Republic of Tanzania in 2005 with certificate of incorporation number 52508, as a limited company under the Companies Ordinance (Cap 212), The Company spent two years in its initial business startup investment in Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and eventually commenced business in 2008. In 2017, the company was acquired by new shareholders and subsequently, in 2019, the company name changed from Mihan Gas Company Limited to The Gas Company Limited to reflect company’s new Vision and Mission. The Gas Tanzania Limited operates under The Gas and Mihan Gas brands as observed through its LPG cylinders and other related equipment. The Gas Company has other 20 operating depots in Mwanza, Mbeya, Moshi, Dodoma, Singida, Morogoro, Iringa, Kahama, Kigoma, Songea, Njombe, Manyara, Bukoba, Geita, Tabora, Musoma, Arusha, Sumbawanga, Tanga and Shinyanga.
