PATH Tanzania is an international organization that drives transformative innovation to lives and improve health, especially among women and children. Together, we deliver measurable results that disrupt the cycle of poor health. With a vision to provide all patients with access to the lifesaving medical oxygen they need, this project seeks to reduce maternal, child, and overall mortality from hypoxemia-related causes through improved access to high quality oxygen services at all levels of the health care system. As part of the SOURCE grant, and upon required Government of Tanzania (GoT) approvals PATH in collaboration with the Ministry of Health (MoH) aim to co conduct a study to understand the prevalence of hypoxemia and oxygen consumption across hospitalized populations at Amana and Tumbi Regional Referral Hospitals in Dar es salaam and Coast regions respectively. The study findings will facilitate proper resourcing to maximize access to lifesaving oxygen when needed.
