Sustainable Environment Management Action (SEMA) is a Singida based Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) that set out to fight poverty through improving Health, Education, WASH services, Agriculture, and Environmental Degradation in the rural areas of the poor and marginalized communities. It was registered under the society’s ordinance cap 337 on the 10th March 1998. The organization also was awarded a certificate of compliance No 1594 for non Governmental act No. 20 made under section 11(3) of 2002 on 9 March 2006. SEMA in partnership with Stromme Foundation (SF) is implementing the Enhanced Livelihoods through Commercial Agricultural Production (ELCAP) Project in three districts (Ikungi, Iramba and Manyoni) in Singida region, Tanzania. The project overall goal is to sustainably improve the livelihoods of small-scale farmers and their households by increasing food security, enhancing income generating opportunities and creating jobs. SEMA provides advisory and supervisory services for the construction of l different types of water supply systems such as wells, boreholes, and rainwater harvesting systems. This includes water surveys, planning, designing and construction of groundwater sources for domestic and productive purposes.
